Zamab Care was founded in 2023 by a dedicated mental health nurse and social care
worker who share a passion for creating safe and nurturing environments for children. Our
mission is to provide bespoke residential care services tailored to meet the unique needs of
each child, fostering a sense of belonging, safety, and personal growth.
At Zamab Care, we believe that every child deserves the opportunity to thrive. Our
approach prioritizes trauma-informed and needs-based care, ensuring that the emoEonal,
physical, and psychological well-being of each child is at the heart of everything we do. By
focusing on individual strengths and addressing challenges, we aim to help children build
resilience and develop healthy relationships.
Mission Statement:
Our mission is to empower and support children ages 7-17 by providing a nurturing
environment where they feel safe, valued, and respected. We strive to inspire hope, build
resilience, and create opportunities for personal growth, ensuring every child has the
foundation they need to lead fulfilling lives.
We are a trauma-responsive organization, adopting practices that avoid re-traumatization
and actively support relational healing. Our care framework acknowledges the profound
impact of cumulative traumatic experiences and incorporates strategies to promote healthy
behaviors, effective crisis management, and emotional recovery. We recognize that healing
is a journey, and we are committed to walking alongside each child as they navigate their
path to a brighter future.
Our Model of Care:
Our care model integrates trauma-informed principles with the understanding of
Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs. This framework guides our holistic approach to supporting
children, addressing their:
In addition, our care approach incorporates the following models:
Trauma-Informed Care (TCI) Model:
Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) provides tools and strategies to de-escalate crises, manage challenging behaviors, and build a safe, respecful environment for children.
TCI emphasizes fostering trusting relationships and teaching self-regulation skills, essential for emotional recovery and growth.
Our staff are extensively trained in TCI techniques, ensuring they can effectively support children in moments of crisis while promoting healing and resilience.
By focusing on proactive intervention and creating positive experiences, TCI helps children feel secure and empowered to overcome their challenges.
Positive Behaviour Support (PBS):
Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) is an evidence-based and person-centred approach that uses a multi-component intervention and assessment process to support the child. PBS focuses on understanding the reasons behind challenging behaviors and teaching alternative skills to promote positive outcomes.
This proactive approach helps children develop coping mechanisms, improve social interactions, and achieve a better quality of life
Through individualized care plans and programs, we work collaboratively with children to
identify and achieve their goals. Each care plan is developed with input from the child,
ensuring it reflects their unique aspirations and needs. Our team of compassionate
professionals provides consistent support, helping children build essential life skills and
prepare for their futures.
At Zamab Care, we are more than just a care provider. We are a community committed to
empowering children to overcome challenges and realize their full potential
